Core Construction - Firm Core w/ Carbon Composite Layering: The V10 Pro Carbon pads ship with a mid-stiff foam core, stiffer in the thigh with a single break to offer a bit more flex below the knee. Unique to Vaughn's "Pro Carbon" leg pads, a rigid carbon composite is layered over the core, ensuring strong pop and improved long-term durability without adding excess weight.
- Classic Knee Roll Build w/ Single Break Outer Roll: Three flat knee rolls preserve the classic Velocity look and allow goalies the option for more controlled rebounds off the knees. Built to hold a softer pre-curve, these pads feature mid-stiff outer rolls with a single break below each knee.
- Pro-Spec Domestic Construction: Built to compete at the highest levels, Vaughn's "Pro Carbon" pads, gloves, and blockers are made in London, Ontario and Oxford, Michigan to the same standard as their pro-spec pads.

Mobility & Crease Control - QuickSlide Inner Edge: Vaughn's QuickSlide is a highly durable synthetic material that wraps the V10 Pro Carbon pads' entire inner sliding edge to greatly reduce sliding friction. Seen above, Vaughn's QuickSlide is embossed with a fine cross-hatching to add just enough friction to control the slides. Compared to JenPro and other synthetic leathers found in goalie pads, Vaughn's QuickSlide inner edge offers greater durability with a unique balance of slide power and control.
- Wide, Reinforced Calf Plate: To control the crease from a comfortable, more stable butterfly, the V10 Pro Carbon pads land on a wider calf plate built from a rigid, high-density foam. Wrapped in QuickSlide at the outer face, a plush cushioning backs the V10 PC's calf plates to pad negative space in the calves, further improving comfort and pad control.
- Direct Knee Stack Integration: Comprising the V10 Pro Carbon pads' knee stacks, layered high-density foams help to absorb impact energy with a more rigid structure to stabilize the pad. Integrated at the top layer, Vaughn's layered foam knee stack is built to translate knee movements directly into the pad's core. Not just improving response, Vaughn's direct knee stack integration offers improved durability compared to a laced-in knee landing and helps ensure the pads project at a proper angle.

Fit & Strapping - Streamlined, QuickSlide Boot w/ Softer Flex: Introduced with the Velocity V9 pads, Vaughn's Velocity 10 pads feature a more ergonomic, scoop-shaped boot with a soft flex. Compared to the V9s, the V10 leg pads' boot is built to better rotate off the goalie's skates with a flattened profile and a complete layer of Vaughn's QuickSlide material.
- Reactive Rotation Control Plus (RRC+) Calf Strapping: Compared to the single, professor-style RRC strap found on the V10 Pro leg pads, the V10 Pro Carbon Pads' RRC+ strapping offers easily adjustable tension at both the top and bottom of the calves. In practice, this additional point of adjustment allows goalies to better control the pads from their calves and improve pad rotation with a looser fit at the knees.
