New for 2021, Bauer goalie has continued their highly successful skate designs and brought out the Bauer Pro Intermediate Goalie Skate. This Bauer Pro skate is designed for today’s goalie with key inspirations from various pro and elite goaltenders.
Starting off with the build of the Bauer Pro Intermediate Skates, the popular cowlingless design makes its return to continue to help the goaltender get a low attack angle which aids in quicker pushes on the ice. The quarter package on the Pro Intermediate comes with a 3D Lasted Carbon Curv Composite Quarter Package with Stanceflex Pro Technology. This combination provides high level durability while remaining as lightweight as possible. Moving down to the toe, a Low-Profile Asymmetrical Toe Cap helps protect shots you might take off your skate while reducing the bulk size of the skate in previous models which allows the goaltender to be more precise in every movement on the ice.
Moving on to the ankle of the Pro Intermediate, AeroFoam Pro padding which is also seen in the previous generation skates has been added to the Pro Intermediate to improve the comfort of this skate. Next is the Low Profile felt tongue which also provides comfort and durability, so the goaltender won’t have any issues when leaning forward in a ready stance. Around on the back, you will see the now standard heel loop which allows the goaltender to have the option of wearing their boot strap behind the skate to push the pad up on their leg. Internally you will feel the Lock Fit Pro system with Hypersense technology. This helps the goaltender a snug fit, so the foot does not slide around the boot during use.
Finally moving down to the bottom section of the skate, the outsole is designed with an integrated wrap which gives trusted support between the holder and skates bottom. Next on the holder, you will find the Vertexx Edge holder which has been seen on previous models. The Vertexx Edge holder is designed for a goaltender who wants completely uninhibited movements and an ultimate bite when moving around the crease. The runners are Bauer's LS5G carbon-coated stainless-steel blades which are taller than stock models and are built to last longer through high levels of usage.

When you receive your skates, try them on and push your foot forward so that your toes (while flat) barely glance the toe cap. Bend your knee forward and look behind the heel of your foot down the skate. If you can fit a finger

While all players might have their own preference for fit, hockey skates should be 1 ½ sizes down from your shoe size. For most players this will be close to the proper fit. For example, if you are a U.S. Men’s shoe size 9, you
