Waist & Spine Protection - Segmented, High-density Waist: Offering a balance of mobility and protection, Vaughn's SLR4 Junior pants are padded around the waist with flexible segments of high-density impact foam.
- Rigid Hip Padding: For further protection, these pants pad the hips with a rigid, molded core layering, surrounded by high-density foams.
- HD Padded Tailbone & Spine: To ensure complete protection, segmented high-density foams, reinforced with a rigid molded plastic, help to protect the tailbone and up to the lower spine.

Thigh & Groin Protection - Large, High-density Groin Flaps: The SLR4 Intermediate goalie pants pad the 5-hole with large groin flaps, padded with high-density impact foam.
- 11" (27.9cm) Molded Plastic Outer Thigh: Vaughn's SLR4 Junior goalie pants protect the outer thighs with a high-density foams padding a rigid core, molded for an ergonomic fit.
- Dual-Layered Inner Thigh Padding: Vaughn's lightweight Aero-Spacer offers an additional layer of padding along the inner thigh seams.
