Core & Flex - Thin, Soft Flex Core: For a form-fit pad with a softer flex, Bauer's Reactor R5 Pro leg pads are built around a thinner, soft flex core. Featuring the stock flex profile from Bauer's Vapor X5 Pro and Hyperlite 2 pads, these pads are excellent for goalies who want a thin pad with strong rebounds, and a bit more flex through the knee and thigh.
- CURV® Composite Reinforced Thigh: Familiar to fans of Bauer's elite equipment, CURV® Composite has been implemented to reinforce the thigh rise, without adding excess bulk or weight. Compared to commonly used impact-resistant materials such as ABS plastic, polycarbonate, and fiber glass composites, CURV® composite offers unmatched resistance to cracking, deforming, or splintering, at low temperatures.
- Soft, Free-Flex 110° Boot: Bauer's Reactor R5 Pro pads are built to control the crease with a flexible, yet highly mobile feel. Featuring the Vapor line-up's more upright, Free-Flex boot, the R5 Pro Pads sit more flush on the skates and cover the posts with a softer feel.

Knee Landing & Calf Support - STABILIFLEX Knee Block w/ Included Knee Wing: Signature to Bauer's Vapor line up, the Reactor R5 Pro pads' knee block is integrated into the core for a direct response. Compared to the Supreme line-up's STABILISLIDE knee block, the STABILIFLEX knee gives these pads responsive, precise feel, while allowing for more flex between the knee and the pad's core. Included knee wing can be easily attached and removed with a simple hook-and-loop fastening.
- Hybrid Calf Support: The Reactor R5 Pro pads feature Bauer's more dynamic, Hybrid Calf system, with a CORTECH outer lining material for quick slides and greater long-term durability. Compared to their Supreme pads, these pads offer a supportive butterfly, while staying flexible with an integrated calf pillow, and single reinforcing bracket.

Fit & Strapping - Strapping : For a highly-adjustable fit, the Reactor R5 Pro leg pads feature the Vapor line-up's Tune Fit Strap System. Bauer's Tune Fit strapping offers lightweight pad control, with easy, hook-and-loop fastening adjustments at the upper and lower calf. The Tune Fit system can also be entirely removed with hook-and-loop fastening.
- Elastic Toe-Ties w/ Centered Bridge: Elastic toe ties secure each boot with more give over traditional skate lace toe ties, offering improved edge control and greatly reducing lower body strain.
